Once you have added a new planned transfer or changed an existing planned transfer, you must finish the planned transfer as described below.
Refer to the Using Planned Transfer section for field definitions if not listed below.
1. Once you have added a new planned transfer or changed an existing planned transfer, command options will appear; select Finish(X).
2. A Select An Option window appears and displays the following choices:
3. If the BOL (Y/N) field has been set to Y (Y=yes) for the carrier of the planned transfer the system will ask whether or not to print the bill of lading (BOL).
4. A Select An Option window appears and displays the following options:
Note: A transfer may be planned, printed, and saved with hold lots in the source item; however, it may not be completed until all source items are taken off hold. The COMPLETE TRANSFER option will not appear if any required information is missing.
A transfer may be planned, printed, and saved without specifying the destination item location lots and slots, but lot numbers and slots must be entered before a transfer can be completed.
If lot numbers are Missing for the "To" item, an "ABORTED: Missing TO Lots !!! Space Bar to Continue" message will appear. Press the space bar and then select Info or Change to enter the missing lot numbers. The "To" items with a Missing Lot number will display the Missing in the Lot number field in "RED". See Changing Planned Transfer for more information.
If the "To" item is has a Strict COOL level and a COOL Identity was not assigned, an "Updated Aborted: COOL problems !!! press F10 or press Enter to Continue" message will appear along with a COOL Control information window that displays the following information:
Required COOL missing
When trying to complete a planned transfer where a transfer is to an empty (zero balance) "in- process 'to item'" (refer to the Item/In Process Items), the following message displays: “COMPLETE ABORTED!!! Missing In Process Names. Press Space Bar”. The message occurs here because the system does not know that the in-process item is empty and needs to be renamed before the update is attempted. When this message is displayed, press the space bar, select Change from the command options, use the arrow keys to select the "to" item name, and type in the name in the space provided.
5. If Inventory Labels are set to Y (Y=yes) in Inventory Options the following message will display: "Print Inventory Labels? No/Yes?"
For more information on printing labels, see Labels.
For more information on the Planned Transfer option see Planned Transfers.
